New technology in ELITE equipment level for combi seed drills
Junkkari’s lineup now expands with the new ELITE equipment level, where the feed shafts rotate in two sections powered by electric motors. This allows the feed rate to be adjusted or stopped separately for each half of the machine.
Section control
ELITE-equipped machines come with Junkkari’s updated ISOBUS control. Together with the electric motor control, this enables not only site-specific rate control (TC-GEO) but now also section control (TC-SC) in Junkkari machines. These features further improve feed accuracy and optimize the use of inputs.
Coulter pressure automation
A totally new technology in ELITE equipment is coulter pressure automation, which adjusts pressure automatically to maintain the desired working depth. If the coulter rises above the optimal depth, the system automatically increases pressure. If the coulter goes too deep, the automation reduces the pressure.
Location based data on coulter pressure is collected via the ISOBUS system, allowing the machine to function as a soil scanner. This information can be used for planning future farminging. The system requires load-sensing (LS) hydraulics from the sowing tractor.
ELITE improves sowing accuracy
Electric feeding enables more precise site-specific input application. Overlapping sowing is avoided at headlands and in wedge-shaped fields, reducing lodging and improving crop uniformity. Curve compensation ensures an even sowing rate between rows in turns. All this helps achieve more even crops and better yields.
The ELITE equipment level also enhances ease of use. The calibration test can be performed easily from the side of the machine with the press of a button. At headlands, the machine automatically starts and stops sowing, making the operator’s job easier. Additionally, coulter pressure automation smooths operation across varying soil types.
ELITE equipment level can be added to Junkkari’s M and T combi seed drill models.
