user experiences

Our customers have been using Junkkari machines for years, many of them for several generations. We have collected their valuable experiences in to a video library to give you an insight into the different machines and the benefits of using them. User experiences show you why our products have been the trusted choice for generations.

W600 – RANTA AYRSHIRES OY, TEUVA, FINLAND

With our previous machine, it took 12–14 hours to sow 35–40 hectares. This spring, we managed to sow 75 hectares in about 24 hours.

Lauri Koljonen

At Ranta Ayrshires Oy’s organic farm in Teuva, around 400 hectares are sown each spring, mainly to produce feed for the farm’s own cattle. The large hopper, low tractor power requirement and high work capacity of the Junkkari W600 combi seed drill have proved especially important for the farm.

In the video, Lauri Koljonen shares his experiences with the Junkkari W600 in practical sowing work. He explains how the W600 performs on different soil types, how the large hopper reduces the number of refills, and what the machine is like to operate and maintain.

M300 – AMSKI (ANNE-MARI TARKKIO)

I’ve been sowing with Junkkari for three years now, and I wouldn’t change a single moment of it!

Amski

Anne-Mari Tarkkio used the Junkkari M300 PRO for her spring sowing. Amski has sown with a Junkkari Simulta throughout her farming career, but for the past three springs she has been working with the newer three-metre Junkkari models.

Watch the video and step onto Amski’s field! In the video, she looks back on old sowing methods and shows how the new combi seed drill models have improved efficiency. And as usual, the spring wasn’t without its mishaps either.

W600 – PÖÖKÄRI ORGANIC FARM, ASKOLA, FINLAND

With this machine, you can sow with a smaller tractor and lower fuel consumption. W600 is even lighter to pull than our older four-metre rear-wheel drive machine.

Lassi Kurki

Lassi Kurki sows with Junkkari’s W600 combi seed drill at Pöökäri’s organic farm in Askola, Finland. Lassi praised machine’s easy maintenance, its performance even on hard soil and the effortless emptying of the hoppers. The W600 has been in use at Pöökäri’s organic farm for several years now.

M400 – YLIHUHTA FARM, KAUHAVA, FINLAND

Seed and fertiliser go into the same coulter, so the seed has all the nutrients available immediately. This has led to a very even sprouting.

Tuomas Hantula

The Ylihuhtala farm in Kauhava has been using a Junkkari M400 seed drill for years. In this video, Tuomas Hantula explains the farm’s experience with Junkkari’s seed fertiliser. During the spring 2024, the farm was also planning to complete a generational change, whereby the well-maintained farm will get new owners from the Huhtala family.
